Crispy Air Fryer Radish Chips – Easy Low-Carb Snack

There’s something so satisfying about a crunchy snack you can feel good about—especially when it’s this easy!

These Air Fryer Radish Chips are my latest obsession: simple, savory, and surprisingly addictive.

They come out perfectly crisp on the edges, with a warm, tender center and that irresistible roasted flavor.

The best part? They’re low-carb, keto-friendly, and take just minutes in the air fryer.

Why I Love This Recipe

Quick and ready in under 15 minutes

Great alternative to potato chips

Low-carb and keto-friendly

Perfectly seasoned and customizable

What You’ll Need (Ingredient Highlights)

Radish slices – The base of this recipe; once air-fried, they lose their bitterness and turn soft inside, crispy outside.

Avocado or olive oil spray – Helps the radishes crisp up while adding a hint of richness.

Salt and pepper – Classic seasoning to bring out flavor.

Garlic powder and onion powder – Add savory depth to every bite.

Pro Tips Before You Start

Slice the radishes evenly for consistent crispness.

Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket—air circulation is key!

Keep a close eye in the last few minutes to prevent burning.

Like it spicy? Add a sprinkle of smoked paprika or cayenne!

How to Make Air Fryer Radish Chips

Step 1: Prep the Radishes

Wash and pat dry the radish slices thoroughly.

This helps them crisp instead of steam.

Step 2: First Season & Air Fry

Spread the radish slices in an even layer in your air fryer basket.

Spritz 3–4 times with avocado or olive oil.

Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Air fry at 370°F for 5 minutes.

Step 3: Stir & Repeat

Give the radishes a quick stir. Air fry for another 5 minutes.

Spritz again with 3–4 sprays of oil and a second light sprinkle of seasoning.

Step 4: Final Cook Time

Cook an additional 5 minutes, stir again, then finish with 3 more minutes.

Watch closely in the last minutes to ensure they don’t over-crisp.

What to Serve It With

These crispy radish chips are perfect on their own, but also great with:

A creamy ranch dip or Greek yogurt dressing

Spicy guacamole or avocado mash

As a crunchy side for burgers or grilled chicken

On top of salads for extra texture

Variations / Substitutions

Add paprika, cumin, or chili powder for different flavor profiles.

Use zucchini or turnip slices for variation.

Replace olive oil with coconut oil spray for a different twist.

Storage & Leftovers

Best enjoyed fresh and hot for optimal crunch.

If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Reheat in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes to restore crispiness.

FAQs

Do radish chips taste like potatoes?
They’re similar in texture when roasted, but with a slightly peppery flavor.

Can I use a mandoline to slice radishes?
Yes, it helps ensure even thin slices for crispier results.

How do I prevent soggy chips?
Pat the radishes very dry before air frying, and avoid overcrowding the basket.

Can I bake these instead of air frying?
Yes! Bake at 400°F for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Are these keto-friendly?
Absolutely—radishes are low in carbs and perfect for keto snacks.

Can I make these in advance?
You can, but they’re best served fresh. Re-crisp in the air fryer if needed.

Can I add cheese or seasoning blends?
Definitely! Try adding parmesan or Everything Bagel Seasoning.

Final Thoughts

These Air Fryer Radish Chips totally changed the way I look at radishes.

From bitter to beautifully crisp, they’re a simple snack that packs flavor and crunch without guilt.

They’ve become a staple in my weekly meal prep—and I bet they’ll be in yours, too.

Notes

  • Thinner slices = crispier chips. A mandoline works great for even cutting.
  • Radish chips shrink a lot during cooking, so don’t be surprised by the final yield.
  • You can mix in smoked paprika or chili powder for a bolder flavor twist.
