Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup finely grated carrot
  • ½ apple grated or finely chopped
  • 1 cup milk or water
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 –2 tsp maple syrup or honey optional

Method
 

  1. In saucepan, combine oats, carrot, apple, milk/water, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Simmer over medium heat 5–7 minutes, stirring, until thickened.
  3. Stir in vanilla and sweetener. Adjust consistency as needed.
  4. Serve hot with desired toppings.
