Bang Bang Chicken is crispy fried chicken coated in a creamy, sweet, and spicy sauce made with mayo, Thai chili sauce, Sriracha, and honey. It’s crunchy on the outside, juicy inside, and bursting with flavor—perfect for appetizers, game days, or weeknight indulgence.

Ingredients
  

For the Sauce:
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tsp Sriracha or more
  • 2 tbsp honey
For the Chicken:
  • lbs boneless chicken tenderloins
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • tsp cayenne pepper optional
  • 2 cups plain panko breadcrumbs
  • Canola oil for frying
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Mix sauce ingredients and set aside.
  2. Whisk batter ingredients and toss chicken to coat.
  3. Dredge chicken in panko.
  4. Heat oil to 365°F. Fry chicken 2–3 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  5. Drain, toss in sauce, and garnish with parsley. Serve hot!

Notes

• For extra crispiness, don’t overcrowd the pan when frying.
• Adjust Sriracha to your heat preference.
• The sauce can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
