Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup bourbon BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 8 slices crispy bacon

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape into 1.5-inch meatballs (16–20 total).
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown meatballs on all sides.
  5. Return all meatballs to skillet. Add BBQ sauce and simmer on low for 10 minutes.
  6. Toast sliced sub rolls in oven for 5 minutes.
