Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 12 oz pasta penne, rotini, or elbow
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • Fresh parsley & Parmesan for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
  2. Add diced onion and sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add tomato sauce and beef broth. Stir to combine.
  6. Stir in uncooked pasta.
  7. Cover and simmer for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Notes

  • You can use any short pasta shape you have on hand.
