Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 or leaner
  • 1/2 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup steak sauce such as A1 or homemade
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup beef broth or water if needed
  • 4 burger buns toasted
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese or preferred cheese
  • 1 tbsp butter optional, for buns
  • Pickles lettuce, tomato, crispy onions (optional toppings)

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned.
  2. Drain excess grease if needed.
  3. Add onion and garlic. Cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in ketchup, steak sauce, Worcestershire, mustard, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Simmer for 5 minutes. Add broth if needed.
  6. Butter and toast buns if desired.
  7. Spoon meat onto buns, top with cheese and desired toppings. Serve hot and enjoy.
