Ingredients
  

  • cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat sugar and softened butter until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and mashed bananas.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just blended.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top.

Notes

  • Use overripe bananas with lots of brown spots for the richest flavor.
  • For extra moisture, you can add 2 tablespoons of sour cream or Greek yogurt to the batter.
