Classic Iced Tea

This classic iced tea is smooth, perfectly steeped, and easy to customize. Serve it over ice with lemon slices and fresh mint for a crisp and cooling beverage you’ll reach for all season long.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 –8 black tea bags
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup granulated sugar optional
  • Lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish

Method
 

  1. Boil 4 cups water.
  2. Remove from heat and steep tea bags for 5–10 mins.
  3. Discard tea bags. Stir in sugar while warm (if using).
  4. Add 4 cups cold water. Let cool, then refrigerate 2+ hours.
  5. Serve over ice with lemon and mint.

Notes

  • Use 6 tea bags for a lighter brew or up to 8 for a bolder flavor.
  • Add a splash of fruit juice (like peach or cranberry) for a twist.
  • For a caffeine-free version, use herbal or rooibos tea instead.
