Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Tender chicken breasts are seared to perfection, then simmered in a rich garlic-Parmesan cream sauce made with just a handful of pantry staples. It’s one of those dishes that makes your kitchen smell like a dream!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 chicken breasts cut in half lengthwise
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1.5 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or dry white wine
  • 1.5 cup heavy/whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1.2 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Slice the chicken breasts in half lengthwise.
  2. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
  5. Remove to a plate and cover.
  6. Reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and sprinkle flour into the skillet.

Notes

  • For an extra cheesy version, add more Parmesan or a handful of mozzarella.
  • You can swap cream for half-and-half for a lighter version, though sauce may be thinner.
  • Dry white wine adds depth, but chicken broth works just as well for alcohol-free.
