Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • ½ medium onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning or to taste
  • 1 14 oz can diced tomatoes with juices
  • cup chicken or beef broth
  • ¾ cup heavy or whipping cream
  • 1 pound uncooked potato gnocchi
  • ½ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and chopped onion over medium-high heat for 7–10 minutes.
  2. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add garlic and Italian seasoning. Cook for 1 minute.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes, broth, cream, and gnocchi. Mix well.
  5. Bring to a gentle bubble, cover, and reduce heat to medium. Cook for 5 minutes.
  6. Uncover and cook a few more minutes until gnocchi is soft and sauce thickens.
