Ingredients
  

Shrimp:
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
Pasta:
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • Reserved pasta water
Alfredo Sauce:
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 4 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine until al dente.
  2. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  3. Season shrimp with salt and pepper.
  4. In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.

Notes

• Don’t overcook the shrimp—they should be just pink and juicy.
