Ingredients
  

  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas with a fork until smooth.
  4. Stir in the melted butter.
  5. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  6. Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir in.
  7. Gently fold in the flour until just incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.

Notes

  • For best results, use very ripe bananas — brown and spotty is perfect.
