Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • cups milk
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

  1. Beat eggs until foamy, then mix in milk and vanilla.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and sugar.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
  4. Heat oil to 375°F.
  5. Drop batter by spoonfuls into oil, frying until golden brown (1–2 minutes per side).
  6. Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar.
