Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb steak sirloin or ribeye, cut into cubes
  • 1.5 lb baby potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil divided
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 –4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese mozzarella or cheddar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Boil potatoes until fork tender. Drain and let cool.
  2. Smash potatoes on baking sheet, drizzle with oil, season, and bake at 425°F for 20–25 mins.
  3. Sprinkle cheese on potatoes and broil until melted.
  4. Sear seasoned steak in a hot skillet until browned. Remove.
  5. Add butter and garlic to skillet, cook until fragrant. Return steak and toss.
  6. Serve steak bites with cheesy smashed potatoes. Garnish and enjoy.
