Ingredients
  

Garlic White Sauce:
  • 3 cloves garlic minced (or 3 tsp from a jar)
  • cups whole milk
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons plain flour
  • ¼ cup finely shredded Parmesan
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
Pizza Toppings:
  • 1 pre-made or homemade pizza dough
  • ½ cup garlic white sauce from above
  • 8 ounces freshly grated low-moisture mozzarella
  • ¼ cup extra Parmesan shredded
  • ½ teaspoon Italian herb mix
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil thinly sliced

Method
 

  1. In a small pot, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. Slowly whisk in the milk. Cook until thickened and bubbling, 3–5 minutes.
  4. Stir in garlic, salt, and pepper. Add Parmesan and stir until melted. Set aside.
  5. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
  6. Roll out pizza dough and brush with olive oil. Sprinkle with herbs.

Notes

  • For added flavor, sprinkle red pepper flakes or Italian seasoning before baking.
