Ingredients
  

  • 1 small cabbage chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can 15 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup onions chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tablespoon bouillon powder
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt to taste

Method
 

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Push the beef aside and sauté onions until soft. Add garlic and cook 1–2 minutes.
  3. Stir in diced tomatoes, bouillon, cumin, cayenne, paprika, and salt. Simmer 5 minutes.
  4. Add chopped cabbage, stir, cover, and cook 10–15 minutes until tender.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve hot with rice, bread, or on its own.

Notes

  • Use green or savoy cabbage for best texture.
  • You can substitute beef bouillon powder with chicken or vegetable bouillon if preferred.
