Ingredients
  

For the Casserole:
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 –5 medium potatoes thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • ¼ cup milk optional
For the Seasoning & Cheese:
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Thinly slice potatoes and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onions and garlic until soft.
  4. Add ground beef and season with Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cook until browned.
  6. Layer half the potatoes in the baking dish, then half the beef, and half the cheddar cheese.

Notes

• Use a mandoline for even potato slices to ensure even cooking.
