- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Sauté onion, garlic, ginger, and green onions for 3 minutes.
- Remove and set aside.
- Mix hoisin sauce and ketchup in a small bowl. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a large bowl, combine beef, pork, breadcrumbs, egg, soy sauce, pepper, sautéed veggies, and half the hoisin mixture.
- Mix until just combined.
- Transfer to a 9×5-inch loaf pan and pat evenly.
- Bake for 45 minutes. Drain fat.

Notes
- Use fresh breadcrumbs (from soft white bread) for the moistest texture.
