  • 2 –3 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Beat butter until creamy and pale, about 3 minutes.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating after each addition.
  3. Add cream, vanilla, and salt. Beat until fluffy.
  4. Adjust consistency with more cream or sugar as needed.
  5. Pipe onto cooled cupcakes or spread with a spatula.
