Ingredients
  

  • 450 g 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 –4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste or grated ginger
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes optional
  • 2 green onions sliced (for garnish)

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce and cornstarch.
  2. Add shrimp and toss to coat. Set aside.
  3. Heat oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  4. Sauté garlic and ginger briefly until fragrant.
  5. Add shrimp in a single layer, cooking 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  6. Stir in honey and chili flakes if using, tossing to coat evenly.
  7. Remove from heat, garnish with green onions, and serve over rice or as an appetizer.

Notes

  • Pat shrimp dry before coating to help the cornstarch stick better.
