Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup butter 1 stick
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese ½ block
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced finely
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cracked pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese freshly grated/shredded
Optional:
  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded or diced
  • 1 cup peas

Method
 

  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter, cream cheese, and cream over medium heat.
  2. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Stir in the garlic, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Let simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the grated parmesan cheese.
  6. Mix until melted and smooth.
  7. Toss the sauce with cooked pasta of your choice.

Notes

• Freshly grated parmesan melts better and gives a smoother texture than pre-shredded.
