Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef 80% lean
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs plain or seasoned
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup shredded whole milk mozzarella cheese
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup ketchup or BBQ sauce for topping

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
  3. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, sautéed onion and garlic, egg, seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Shape half mixture into a rectangle.
  5. Sprinkle mozzarella down the center.
  6. Cover with remaining beef, sealing edges.
