Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour spooned & leveled
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp allspice
  • ¼ tsp cloves
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ¾ cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 large egg room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • cups old-fashioned oats
  • cup chopped pecans

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (176°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, cloves, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk melted butter and brown sugar.
  4. Add egg and vanilla; whisk until smooth.
  5. Sift dry mixture into wet. Stir until just combined. Fold in oats and pecans.
  6. Chill dough 15 minutes.
  7. Scoop onto baking sheets (1.5–2 Tbsp each), spacing evenly.
  8. Bake 12–15 minutes, until golden on edges. Cool before serving.

Notes
