Parmesan Alfredo Sauce

This easy Parmesan Alfredo Sauce is luxuriously smooth, made with real butter, cream, garlic, and loads of parmesan cheese. Perfect over pasta, with grilled chicken, or as a dip for roasted veggies—your whole kitchen will smell heavenly!

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 2 cups parmesan cheese shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper or to taste
  • 12 oz fettuccine optional, for serving

Method
 

  1. Prepare pasta according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan over low-medium heat, melt the butter.
  3. Slowly mix in the heavy cream once the butter is almost melted.
  4. Add the minced garlic and stir well.
  5. Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is creamy and smooth.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve with pasta and grilled chicken if desired.
