Pierogies and Kielbasa

Pierogies and kielbasa is a quick and cozy weeknight dish made with just a few ingredients: mini pierogies, smoky kielbasa sausage, and sweet sautéed onions—all tossed together in butter for a comforting skillet meal. It's family-friendly, filling, and comes together fast.

Ingredients
  

  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pound Kielbasa thinly sliced
  • 25 mini Pierogies
  • 1 medium onion coarsely chopped

Method
 

  1. Cook pierogies per package directions (boil ~3 mins), then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium-high heat.
  3. Brown kielbasa and remove from pan.
  4. Add remaining 3 tbsp butter and sauté onions until tender.
  5. Stir in pierogies and kielbasa until coated and heated through. Serve warm.

Notes

• You can use any kind of pierogies—cheddar, potato, or onion-filled all work well.
• Want more browning on the pierogies? Pan-fry them directly after boiling for a crispy edge.
• This dish is easy to double and perfect for leftovers the next day.
