Ingredients
  

  • 1 batch prepared pie dough
  • 1 lb breakfast sausage
  • ½ yellow onion diced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ tsp mustard powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground pepper

Method
 

  1. Press pie dough into a 9-inch pie plate.
  2. Cook sausage, drain, then sauté onions until soft.
  3. Layer sausage and onions in crust. Top with cheese.
  4. Whisk eggs, cream, mustard powder, salt, pepper. Pour over filling.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 40–50 minutes until golden and set.
