Ingredients
  

  • 24 oz refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 10.5 oz peeled and deveined shrimp thawed
  • 3 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: fresh chopped parsley and lemon slices for garnish

Method
 

  1. Cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter.
  3. Add shrimp and garlic. Cook until shrimp is pink and opaque.
  4. Remove shrimp with a slotted spoon, leaving butter and garlic in skillet.
  5. Add Italian seasoning and stir.
  6. Pour in cream, salt, and pepper. Stir and bring to a boil.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sauté shrimp with a splash of white wine before removing from skillet.
  • You can substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce, though it will be less thick.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan melts best and creates the smoothest sauce.
