Method
- In a large skillet over high heat, sear the ground beef until a deep crust forms before breaking it apart.
- Stir and brown until half the beef has a crust and is fully cooked.
- Remove from the skillet and drain excess fat.
- Add butter, onion, and bell pepper to the skillet.
- Sauté for 1–2 minutes undisturbed, then stir and repeat.
- Return beef to the pan.
- Add garlic, mustard, ketchup, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.

Notes
- Want it spicy? Add hot sauce or chili flakes to the sauce.
- Ground turkey or chicken makes a lighter variation.
