Smoked Paprika Salmon

This smoked paprika salmon is tender, flavorful, and ready in under 20 minutes. Coated with a smoky-sweet spice rub, it’s a simple weeknight dinner that pairs perfectly with roasted veggies, rice, or salad.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb salmon fillet center cut recommended
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar or coconut sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse kosher salt or 1/4 teaspoon table salt, more to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line baking sheet with parchment and spray lightly.
  2. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pat salmon dry. Place skin-side down on baking sheet. Brush with olive oil.
  4. Rub spice mix evenly over salmon.
  5. Bake 12–15 minutes, until salmon flakes with a fork. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra caramelization, broil the last 1–2 minutes.
  • Works with skin-on or skinless salmon.
