Spicy Mango Salsa

This spicy mango salsa is a fresh and vibrant mix of sweet mangoes, zesty lime, and a kick of jalapeño heat. Perfect as a dip with tortilla chips, a topping for tacos, or a refreshing side dish for grilled meats and seafood.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 –3 ripe mangoes peeled and diced
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • ¼ cup purple onion diced
  • ¼ cup jalapeño diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Zest and juice of 2 limes about 2 tbsp
  • ¼ cup red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp agave or maple syrup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro

Method
 

  1. Place diced mango, bell pepper, onion, jalapeño, and garlic in a bowl.
  2. Add lime zest and juice, vinegar, agave, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Top with cilantro. Toss lightly.
  4. Serve immediately with chips or veggies.

Notes

  • For extra heat, leave jalapeño seeds in or substitute with serrano peppers.
  • Add diced avocado for a creamy twist.
