Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz flank or sirloin steak thinly sliced
  • 8 oz shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz noodles lo mein, udon, or spaghetti
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce for steak
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 carrot julienned
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp neutral oil for stir-frying

Method
 

  1. Marinate steak in soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil.
  2. Cook noodles, drain, and set aside.
  3. Mix sauce ingredients in a bowl.
  4. Sear steak in hot skillet. Remove.
  5. Cook shrimp until pink. Remove.
  6. Stir-fry veggies. Return meat, add noodles and sauce.

Notes

  • Swap steak or shrimp for tofu or mushrooms for a pescatarian or vegetarian version.
  • Don’t overcook the shrimp—once they curl and turn pink, they’re done.
  • Use pre-cooked noodles to speed things up even more.
