Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup bell peppers sliced (any color)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions sliced (for garnish)
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Method
 

  1. Slice the bell peppers, cut broccoli, dice the onion, and mince the garlic.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet.
  3. Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic and ground beef.
  4. Cook until browned.
  5. Add bell peppers and broccoli. Cook until vegetables are just tender.
  6. In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, cornstarch, and water.
  7. Pour into skillet and stir well.
