Tuna Melt Stuffed Bread

This tuna melt stuffed bread is cheesy, savory, and perfect for sharing. French bread is loaded with a creamy tuna filling, fresh tomatoes, and sharp cheddar, then baked until golden and bubbly. An easy crowd-pleaser for lunch, dinner, or parties.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans solid white albacore tuna drained
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ medium yellow onion chopped
  • tsp black pepper
  • tsp salt
  • ½ large loaf French bread
  • 1 –2 medium tomatoes chopped
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 2 tbsp parsley chopped (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet.
  2. Mix tuna, mayo, onion, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Place half of bread loaf on sheet.
  4. Spread tuna mixture, add tomatoes, sprinkle cheese, and extra pepper.
  5. Cover loosely with foil and bake 10 minutes.
  6. Remove foil and broil 2–5 minutes until cheese is golden.
  7. Rest 5 minutes, garnish with green onion and parsley, then slice and serve.

Notes

  • Use sharp cheddar for bold flavor, or swap with mozzarella for extra melt.
